show and tell

hello...
enjoying what life...has to offer. Can't believe this year is on its way out, but always embracing what will.... and can be. I've been a gatherer lately and though my findings are most enjoyable to look at...thought it was time.... to make some unique pieces for.... the shop...loving texture, as usual...stiching and such.....more to come.....  Hope this year has been a creative and inspiring year for you all.

haven't been blogging...just living
did some travelling to...california...during the spring, to see my college daughter and family up in northern california. Good times. Then my college daughter flew in to see me and her high school sister for the summer......................................we did it all...hiking...swimming...eating...sunbathing

Useful...Collections

I'm drawn to wooden utensils and wooden bowls...I use some in the kitchen, but I really like to display

them and use them to store items in my shop...I found these wooden leaf dishes here on maui and they're perfect for my buttons...and found metal pieces. It's nice to add a little character to my work space...not to mention...keeping me organized...now that's a good thing (ha ha) hope you're being
creative today and enjoying life...kelly

Books...for me to read this year

Here is a small stack of books, with a variety of interest...that I plan on reading this 2012.
I've picked them up at library sales...received as a gift from my...college daughter, ryan.
I think 2012 is off to a good start...don't you think?

Visiting...Visting...and more Visiting

Hello everyone I've been having so much fun.  My college daughter came during winter break and stayed for a whole month. It was some much needed fill my heart time...I hadn't seen her since she went off to school in August. What a great time...so proud of her.

Then my cool...fun...and loving father came to see me for 10 days, we had a blast...the whales are here in maui and they sure put on a show for us. My dad loves to explore, so we went to secluded beaches, parked our chairs and enjoyed packed picnics, while the whales did their thing (tails, breaching, the whole bit)...sorry I didn't capture it on camera...just enjoyed the moment. Loved our time Dad!!!!!!

Anyways...hope everyones beginning of the new year was safe and creative sparks are about...I can't believe its the middle of february. Loving life right now and working on new things...have a great day!
